What a fabulous past week ! Not only did we enjoy sunny days and temperatures of 20 degrees but at long last gardens and hedgerows started to be burst into bloom and the cheerful seduction of summers arrival was upon us.
La famille Beaumont spent a day with the wonderful Monique et Jean at their delightful home set along the river.Augustin was egar to walk partout , whilst Gérald and Jean preformed some heavy tree surgery, and I made bread with Monique and later picked the wild salad of spring.
For those of you who remember the 1970's tv series 'The Good Life', this is the life of Monique et Jean, it truly is enviable and we always leave having learnt something new.
