Throughout the year I am spoilt by Gérald with new wines and new vintages of firm favourites to sample, but since opening our wine bar Bistrot Les Tontons in Saumur the selection has broadened dramatically which, as December approached, as did the burning question... what will husband select to enjoy over Christmas and New Year ?Along side the traditional festive foodie indulgences of this joyous period Gérald opted for a Puligny-Montrachet from his great friend Thiebault, Domaine Huber Verdereau, Volnay, France.
What an absolute treat for my taste buds who under Géralds guideance have learnt to appreciate the true elegance and structure of the wines produced in la douce France.
