'La Grange d'Henri'

We started 2010 knowing it would be an eventful and demanding year, and the month of May did not disappoint us!

Captivating and condensing all the emotions we had been anticipating and concluding with very exciting results, I need not emphasize corks have been popping!

Not only did we see the final touches put to 'la Grange d'Henri' but our Partnership with Ten Green Bottles Ltd and our forthcoming venture together is being developed as I blog.

It is with great pleasure I post photographs of our charming barn conversion which is alreadying proving to be a popular addition to 'la Bellevue':

Le Salon

- Wi-Fi access
- Television/DVD player
- CD players
- iPod speakers

La Cusine

I adore the kitchen, the spot lights add a lovely embiance particularly when the evening is drawing in.

Following are pictures of la Chambre .

La Grange d'Henri - May 2010

All good things are worth waiting for and 'La Grange d'Henri' is no exception.

The double bedroom is seeing the final coats of paint applied whilst the majority of the walling is of the beautiful illuminous tuffeau stone typically found in this region and leading off the bedroom is a seperate shower room and loo.

Since taking this photograph the kitchen spot lighting has been added which looks fabulous with the slate floor and tuffeau stone walls.

Cottage furniture has started to be added and we eagerly await unveiling our latest addition to 'La Bellevue' in the very near future.

La Grange d'Henri - new for Spring 2010

Work is well and truly underway since my last blog of la grange and Gérald stood in an open space.

With all of the electricity cables laid and the new ground floor prepared work has now gravitated to the future bedroom and ensuite.

My personal 'love' for the Loire Valley stone has been further fed.

The tuffeau walls will remain exposed, as will the wooden beams, and once cleaned and reappointed will add great warmth and character to our dear 'Grange d'Henri'.

Changing on a daily basis is my memory of our olde barn...hummm...

I think my gardening equipment went in that corner?!

'La Grange d'Henri' - new for Spring 2010

Bonne Année - Happy New Year !

Januarys cold weather has made spring and summer feel a long way off but with work well underway on 'La Grange d'Henri', our soon to be beautiful barn conversion, thoughts of a nearing spring/summer time have returned, also aided by the lengthening days.

Ready for spring 2010 'La Grange d'Henri' will be our new holiday cottage, a perfect retreat for a 'Wine Tasting Holiday' in the Loire Valley.
